ADOPTIONS
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you can download and save our Adoption Application form (a Microsoft Word document), fill it out and email it back to us at wynndogrescue@gmail.com. |
| Filling out an adoption application is the only way to start the screening process. With the application you tell us about yourself and your family, what sort of home you provide, that your current pets are well cared for, and that a dog is the right fit for you. By requesting information on an animal and initiating the screening process, it is not a guarantee that the particular animal that you have inquired about is yours to adopt. This is only the first stage of the adoption process. The Wynn Dog Rescue does not place our animals on a "first come, first served" basis, but adopts to the best home possible for the animal. Generally, our mission is to find the right match for you and the dog so that all parties can live happily ever after! If a dog is here in the area, after an application is completed, an appointment can be made with the foster family to meet the dog. If the dog is still located in Puerto Rico or at another rescue, we can make arrangements so the dog can arrive on the next rescue shipment for you to meet. The adoption fee for our dogs is $350.00-- This covers the costs for each dog's vet care, routine shots and the spay or neuter, it also covers the transportation cost. A portion of this money is returned to Second Chance Animal Rescue in Puerto Rico. The remainder is used toward dogs in foster care, any medical expenses, and to run our Adoption Days. |
