Topper
has been at the shelter for almost 1yr. He was very afraid when he
arrived and I would have to hide behind the door so he would come in
from outside. He would look at me like to say," I know you are there". I
call him my human dog. He is very easy to read. He rolls is eyes like
saying," great get me out of here". He also puts his ears out straight to
the sides as if to say, "OK I am doing it but I don't like this". He
also did not like you to look him in the eye. Topper has come a long
way from that day. He will let you pick him up to sit on your lap to
pat and cuddle, to give kisses, will also put his head against your
chest .He likes to go for walks and rides in the car. He can be off
leash and has good recall, but now he has a girlfriend across the
street.
I am looking for a home that is not to stressful, toddlers are
to unpredictable, but he does likes older children. You have to let him
come to you. He would be better being the only dog. I do know he likes
cats and will play with them. That?s if they would like to play with
him. Topper deserves a second chance. He needs a family of is own. Can
you give him his forever home.
